The serpent said to the woman:
“Did God say, ‘You shall not eat of any tree of the garden’?”
“You will not die. For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
The woman took of its fruit and ate of the tree of which the LORD God had commanded them not to eat; and she also gave some to her husband, and he ate.

Every human person possesses an infinite dignity, inalienably grounded in his or her very being, which prevails in and beyond every circumstance, state, or situation the person may ever encounter.[2] (My emphasis)
